Why Choose PDS?
At Presbyterian Day School our students, at all levels, are engaged in a developmentally based curriculum that is presented in a way to foster self-confidence and build self esteem. Classrooms are uniquely arranged around “learning centers” such as art centers, creative play centers, block centers, sand and water tables, and science and math manipulative centers to help our students not only focus but to become engaged in the specific learning activity. Students are offered additional instruction in Spanish, music, and computers taught by qualified educational specialists.
In additional to specific subjects, we teach our students to respect the rights of others and interact in a positive way with their peers. Much emphasis is placed on creative play and in developing expressive language and listening skills. Development of good coordination and gross motor skills is encouraged through exercise and play time.
Presbyterian Day School is licensed through the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services for a maximum of 92 students. The school functions under the guidance of a Governing Board of Trustees and the school bylaws and policies of First Presbyterian Church.
Thank you for visiting.
We look forward to meeting you and you family soon and showing you first hand how an early childhood experience at Presbyterian Day School can put your child on the right educational path.
